-
- The 4.0 Modeler should open and run correctly on any board that can
- support colormapped displays of at least 16 colors and emulate all
- the RastPort drawing functions and modes. Modeler now deals with the
- wacky antics of automatic mode promotion utilities (those that have
- been tested anyway), and will open at the highest resolution those
- boards will allow. LightWave should also function correctly, but it
- is still limited to three preset resolutions at 4 or 8 colors.
-
- Support for display of rendered images is one of the simplest plug-in
- types you can write and should be almost a no-brainer for someone with
- plug-in and graphics card experience. LightWave continues to come with
- built-in support for Toaster, Ham6, Ham8 and PicassoII.
-
- Interestingly enough, the scheme that allows Modeler to use any graphics
- card came directly from the massive hair-pulling exercise required to
- make Modeler run on brain-dead Windows GDI displays, so there is some
- positive feedback for Amiga users.
